Innovation. Risk. Reward.
Welcome to the 2022 edition of the Best of AEC Wisconsin (Architecture – Engineering – Construction) presented by The Daily Reporter. You may have noticed that we have completely updated our program. This year, we held open nominations. Once qualified, the individuals and firms were moved to the ballot for voting. And now, we reveal your choices.
The top ten categories that received the most votes were (in alphabetical order): Abatement Company, Architectural Firm, Construction Consulting Firm, Drywall Company, Engineering, Fence Company, Flooring Company, Gate Company, General Contractor, and Paving Company.
Construction in Wisconsin is currently healthy. According to the US Census, in 2021, there were 25,333 permits issued, with a total value over $6 million for new privately owned housing units authorized. As of June, there are already nearly 11,000 permits issued with a market value of $2.9 million.
According to Dunn & Bradstreet, there are approximately 32,300 businesses that are Architectural, Engineering and Construction. There are some common attributes with people in this industry … most are innovative, they aren’t afraid to take a chance, they are willing to work hard, and they are passionate about what they do.
This year, one of our goals was to create a program that is nominated and voted by the audience who is most interested in the industry. With Best of AEC Wisconsin, we think you’ll discover this. Not only when looking to refer to another firm, or find new services, and experts that have been voted best.
When thinking about the future of any business, the reality is that resources will always be limited, and it’s up to decision-makers to do the best they can with what they have at any given moment. At the same time, making the right decisions today can have a substantial influence on the capabilities and opportunities for success tomorrow.
We encourage you to make it a point to discover more about the 132 businesses found in these pages and at BestofAECWisconsin.com.
